On the occasion of the May holidays, traditionally, as we do every year, we [youth] made an effort to meet all together from various parts of our country. Oraovica, near Radovis, was again our choice. This time we decided to see each other on the weekend of April 28 and 29 because more youth were available then. We were about 25 people, people who eagerly await the next meeting. The theme of our gathering was "For the poorest of the rich." Huge thanks to everyone who participated in the preparations.

This year for the third time computer courses for youth with special needs and for deaf youth have begun. The courses will be conducted in two terms and one has already started, as of April 3, whereas the second course will start in May. With all this, we are enabling these children who have difficulties in their development to be able get closely acquainted with computer skills, and of course to recognize the need for work on computer. The courses are held in the Miss Stone Center, under the guidance of experts and Trajce Minov and Martin Konev.
Women’s World Day of Prayer
Wednesday, 07 March 2012 14:25
On the occasion of Women’s World Day of Prayer, on Friday, March 2, 2012, at the United Methodist Church, women from the Orthodox, Catholic and United Methodist Churches held a joint worship service - together to pray and to celebrate World Day of Prayer. On that day, in all churches of the world, women flock to joint worship services in different time zones, for prayer. This year the program was prepared by women from Malaysia. Through that program we became acquainted with with their traditions, culture, religion and landmarks. I hope we gained positive experience with a program that comes from an Islamic country. At the end of the joint ecumenical hour, every woman in attendance at this worship service received a flowering plant. Likewise, upon entering the church each woman had received a paper flower with the main motto of the program itself: “Let justice flow like water and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream." Amos 5:24 These flowers were made by girls from our church.
On Friday, December 23rd, when we were in the village of Stara Baldovci distributing clothing for children in the school, we noticed several children outside in the yard, barefoot in the snow. We were surprised that this sight was possible, that they were barefoot and not suitable dressed to withstand the cold.
This year Diaconia Macedonia noted the 20th year since its resumption and 10 years since the establishment of "The Miss Stone Center" in Strumica, together with the project "Meals on Wheels". These two anniversaries we marked with the humanitarian action of distributing clothing in different elementary schools in the Strumica region as well as in schools for children with special needs.
